The referee ignored Darisdonk's protests and gave Waut Spoelberch a yellow card for diving instead. Dolf Tilemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Kurt Van Brussel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SK Westrozebeke's zone, Brian Goegebeur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederick Van Lint came out of the goal and Brian Goegebeur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marten Van Beets kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Darisdonk's goal looked a bit too open when Dolf Tilemans came free, but Kurt Van Brussel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Frederick Van Lint managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Darisdonk's Brian Goegebeur fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 31st minute, Bavo Imberechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Dolf Tilemans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kurt Van Brussel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dolf Tilemans made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Dolf Tilemans kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kurt Van Brussel. That made the score 1-2 in the 62 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as SK Westrozebeke's Dolf Tilemans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kurt Van Brussel. That made the score 1-3 after 68 minutes of play. 71 minutes into the game, Robbe Demeyer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Kurt Van Brussel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robbe Demeyer got free with Kurt Van Brussel in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 86 played minutes SK Westrozebeke got a freekick which was hit by Marten Van Beets. Kurt Van Brussel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolf Tilemans in the 90th minute of play. Robbe Demeyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SK Westrozebeke's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
