Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Christiaan Gielens took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Groove Athletic booed when KSV Ursene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiaan Gielens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peter-Jan De Koq could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Evert Visch made a huge save. KSV Ursene's Christiaan Gielens got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Groove Athletic getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Robbrecht Uytebroeck hit a great ball. With his leg Evert Visch managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when KSV Ursene's Christiaan Gielens fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Groove Athletic's Evert Visch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiaan Gielens in the 28th minute of play. A hard shot 31 in the game by Christiaan Gielens from a close distance when the talented Evert Visch managed to make a qualified save. Groove Athletic's players were relieved. Roderik Dewitte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reinaud Goegebeur's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Emanuel Van den Bossche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Groove Athletic's goalkeeper Evert Visch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christiaan Gielens kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reinaud Goegebeur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Groove Athletic's zone, Christiaan Gielens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Visch came out of the goal and Christiaan Gielens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christiaan Gielens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christiaan Gielens struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Evert Visch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KSV Ursene. Evert Visch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christiaan Gielens went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Groove Athletic's Reinaud Goegebeur slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roderik Dewitte. That made the score 1-1 after 63 minutes of play. Evert Visch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter-Jan De Koq in the 68th minute of play. Evert Visch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter-Jan De Koq in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, KSV Ursene's Christiaan Gielens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evert Visch made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 74th minute, Emanuel Van den Bossche made a precise shot to the right of Evert Visch. Groove Athletic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After having played for 81 minutes, Christiaan Gielens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KSV Ursene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christiaan Gielens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. KSV Ursene's Roderik Dewitte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaud Goegebeur in the 83rd minute of play. Christiaan Gielens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Visch having to interfere. Roderik Dewitte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaud Goegebeur in the 87th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christiaan Gielens in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evert Visch saved Groove Athletic from getting behind. Christiaan Gielens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Visch having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Christiaan Gielens managed to get in a good position for a shot. KSV Ursene's supporters rose to their feet, but Christiaan Gielens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evert Visch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. KSV Ursene had won after a very even match.
