Foundation's Tibaut Elssen getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Bob Le Page had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, V.D.B. Foundation's Tibaut Elssen got a free kick in the 15th minute. Ivan Cox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kobe Tilens in the 18th minute of the match. When Kobe Tilens fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC The Smokers's protests and gave Kobe Tilens a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC The Smokers getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Kobe Tilens hit a great ball. FC The Smokers's Benny Devos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Le Page in the 21st minute of play. Dominic Portmans charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dominic Portmans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 27 played minutes FC The Smokers got a freekick which was hit by Dominic Portmans. After 28 played minutes FC The Smokers got a freekick which was hit by Brecht Dewolf. If Tristan Mangelschot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the match, V.D.B. Foundation's goal looked a bit too open when Kobe Tilens came free, but Ivan Cox reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Cox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kobe Tilens in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC The Smokers's goalkeeper Benny Devos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to FC The Smokers getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Etienne Peten hit a great ball. Tibaut Elssen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of V.D.B. Foundation booed when FC The Smokers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Verhasselt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benny Devos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tibaut Elssen went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gery Van der Vorst stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kobe Tilens in the 55th minute of play forced V.D.B. Foundation's goalkeeper Ivan Cox to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tibaut Elssen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Devos having to interfere. In the 59th minute Bob Le Page shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benny Devos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Cox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kobe Tilens in the 64th minute of the match. Jacq Calewaerts hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When Tibaut Elssen fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored V.D.B. Foundation's protests and gave Tibaut Elssen a yellow card for diving instead. Tibaut Elssen kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. With his leg Ivan Cox managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when FC The Smokers's Gerrit Philippaerts fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gery Van der Vorst in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benny Devos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerrit Philippaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Cox having to interfere. Tibaut Elssen struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Benny Devos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for V.D.B. Foundation. V.D.B. Foundation's Bob Le Page got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tibaut Elssen might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benny Devos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tibaut Elssen ran back to his position shaking his head. Ivan Cox took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kobe Tilens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When FC The Smokers's Kobe Tilens in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye V.D.B. Foundation's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to V.D.B. Foundation getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Tibaut Elssen hit a great ball. There was no doubt that V.D.B. Foundation were the better team. V.D.B. Foundation's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
