The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Anthony Lenoir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. De Wellense Pottestampers's Radowit Pliszka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kobe Tilens in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, De Wellense Pottestampers's goal looked a bit too open when Kobe Tilens came free, but Radowit Pliszka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Etienne Peten fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC The Smokers's protests and gave Etienne Peten a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC The Smokers getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Etienne Peten hit a great ball. Matías Suárez took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benny Devos. Benny Devos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Miguel Rondou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benny Devos was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Benny Devos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Rondou's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC The Smokers's zone, Matías Suárez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benny Devos came out of the goal and Matías Suárez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Freddy Haeselaers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Wellense Pottestampers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Radowit Pliszka made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Gerrit Philippaerts sent off a good shot on target. Matías Suárez scored 0-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benny Devos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the match, De Wellense Pottestampers's goal looked a bit too open when Kobe Tilens came free, but Radowit Pliszka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benny Devos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Rondou, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Herve Ceroux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Devos having to interfere. Anthony Lenoir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anthony Lenoir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Anthony Lenoir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half De Wellense Pottestampers were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Rondou was the one to do the kick off. Benny Devos made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Freddy Haeselaers sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to De Wellense Pottestampers getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Miguel Rondou hit a great ball. De Wellense Pottestampers's Radowit Pliszka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kobe Tilens in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, De Wellense Pottestampers's goal looked a bit too open when Kobe Tilens came free, but Radowit Pliszka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 64 in the game by Anthony Lenoir from a close distance when the talented Benny Devos managed to make a qualified save. FC The Smokers's players were relieved. Hendrik Vischkens hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the game, Anthony Lenoir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Wellense Pottestampers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC The Smokers the free kick. In the 70th minute, Kobe Tilens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC The Smokers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Freddy Haeselaers kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. A collision led to De Wellense Pottestampers getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Anthony Lenoir hit a great ball. Matías Suárez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Benny Devos made a huge save. In the 85th play minute Anthony Lenoir came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benny Devos. 1-5. When Freddy Haeselaers came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the De Wellense Pottestampers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Haeselaers couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Matías Suárez sped through FC The Smokers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benny Devos. De Wellense Pottestampers played a much better game than FC The Smokers and deserved their victory. The FC The Smokers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
