If Jerry Stessel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SK Heikruis booed when KFC Raffelberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Backers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes SK Heikruis got a freekick which was hit by Walter Wortelaert. In the 15th minute, KFC Raffelberg's Jerry Stessel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pierre-Paul De nuijter. Pierre-Paul De nuijter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Arsene Nagels fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Raffelberg's protests and gave Arsene Nagels a yellow card for diving instead. Arsene Nagels kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Gust Neefs shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angelo Peruzzi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Albert Bernaers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Paul De nuijter having to interfere. Pierre-Paul De nuijter made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Albert Bernaers sent off a good shot on target. Pierre-Paul De nuijter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert Bernaers in the 26th minute. Daniel Backers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Pierre-Paul De nuijter made a huge save. Albert Bernaerss short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Pierre-Paul De nuijter to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. KFC Raffelberg's Angelo Peruzzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hendrik-Jan Vereyt in the 32nd minute of play. Pierre-Paul De nuijter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Stessel, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Pierre-Paul De nuijter was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lucas Ondino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 39 minute of play. Pierre-Paul De nuijter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Stessel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Bernaers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Pierre-Paul De nuijter made a huge save. If Lucas Ondino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute, Mats Philippaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pierre-Paul De nuijter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerry Stessel's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Ray Vandewalle took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelo Peruzzi. Angelo Peruzzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Pierre-Paul De nuijter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Stessel in the 68th minute of play. If Gwen Engelberchs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of KFC Raffelberg booed when SK Heikruis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hendrik-Jan Vereyt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerry Stessel in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pierre-Paul De nuijter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pierre-Paul De nuijter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Bernaers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Peruzzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hendrik-Jan Vereyt's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, KFC Raffelberg's Albert Bernaers got a free kick in the 83rd minute. SK Heikruis's Pierre-Paul De nuijter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Bernaers in the 88th minute of play. After 88 played minutes SK Heikruis got a freekick which was hit by Ray Vandewalle. There was no doubt that KFC Raffelberg were the better team. KFC Raffelberg's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
