Spectators: 7997 (Terracing: 5999, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) SK de jeankes's Marco Sempels started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Willem-Alexander Bernaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joonatan Van Houdtvinck having to interfere. When Vicente De Cock fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK de jeankes's protests and gave Vicente De Cock a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SK de jeankes getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Vicente De Cock hit a great ball. In the 8th minute Dean Diependaele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joonatan Van Houdtvinck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SK de jeankes's Joonatan Van Houdtvinck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qwinten Blomme in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Dean Diependaele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joonatan Van Houdtvinck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Bass Rouvoet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 played minutes FC Erplé got a freekick which was hit by Cederic Terreur. The crowd rose to their feet as SK de jeankes's Marco Sempels slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claus Huijberechts. That made the score 1-0 after 23 minutes of play. After 32 minutes, Willem-Alexander Bernaerts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Erplé and the SK de jeankes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Erplé's Willem-Alexander Bernaerts got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Claus Huijberechts made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Robbrecht Rauvoets sent off a good shot on target.

In the 52nd minute, Willem-Alexander Bernaerts made a precise shot to the right of Joonatan Van Houdtvinck. SK de jeankes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 55 minutes into the game, Qwinten Blomme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Joonatan Van Houdtvinck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dean Diependaele in the 62nd minute of play forced SK de jeankes's goalkeeper Joonatan Van Houdtvinck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Willem-Alexander Bernaerts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Erplé fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 73 minutes into the game, Willem-Alexander Bernaerts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Joonatan Van Houdtvinck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Erplé's Willem-Alexander Bernaerts got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Dean Diependaele fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in SK de jeankes's zone, Dean Diependaele stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joonatan Van Houdtvinck came out of the goal and Dean Diependaele tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Erplé played a much better game than SK de jeankes and deserved their victory. The SK de jeankes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
