Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sven Verhasselt took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience was convinced that Sven Verhasselt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willy Poets was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. If Sven Verhasselt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willy Poets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Ontañon in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Verhasselt in the 11th minute of play forced KRC Bambrugge's goalkeeper Willy Poets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of KB Les Mauves FC booed when KRC Bambrugge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Izak Deconynck didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Verhasselt in the 12th minute of play forced KRC Bambrugge's goalkeeper Willy Poets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KB Les Mauves FC's Horacio Ontañon got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathias Saelens got free with Roel Eggermont in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Willy Poets didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Schamp went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Horacio Ontañon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willy Poets having to interfere. KRC Bambrugge's Willy Poets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Verhasselt in the 23rd minute of play. Sven Verhasselt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, KRC Bambrugge's Izak Deconynck got a free kick in the 28th minute. Willy Poets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Verhasselt, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Roel Eggermont successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 42 minutes into the game, Christopher Van Acht recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roel Eggermont. Christopher Van Acht showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. When Lars Schamp came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the KB Les Mauves FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Schamp couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Sven Verhasselt in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Willy Poets, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 56th minute Mathias Saelens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roel Eggermont saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Horacio Ontañon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as KB Les Mauves FC's Horacio Ontañon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Willy Poets. That made the score 2-2 after 61 minutes of play. KRC Bambrugge were furious when Berten Meersman was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Berten Meersman kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, KRC Bambrugge's goalkeeper Willy Poets had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tran Van Menen. After a defensive mix-up in KRC Bambrugge's zone, Horacio Ontañon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willy Poets came out of the goal and Horacio Ontañon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richmond Van Malcot in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roel Eggermont saved KB Les Mauves FC from getting behind. A collision led to KB Les Mauves FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Elias Van Caenegem hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Richmond Van Malcot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roel Eggermont. KB Les Mauves FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richmond Van Malcot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. If Richmond Van Malcot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, KRC Bambrugge's Willy Poets got control of the ball when Lars Schamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. KRC Bambrugge's Willy Poets proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save KRC Bambrugge from getting a goal against them. Max Vander Plaetse kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The KRC Bambrugge players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
