Spectators: 7600 (Terracing: 5750, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brian Vincke started the match with the kick off. Rani Boys were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after De Matoekoes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dean Baeten took the corner. The corner ended in Dean Baeten almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but De Matoekoes's Wart Keldermans did a great save. Jannick Valckeneers hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brian Vincke got free with Wart Keldermans in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the match, Rani Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Corneel Aelemans came free, but Diedrik Reiniers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match Rani Boys got a corner. De Matoekoes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dean Baeten ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rani Boys's Dean Baeten got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rani Boys's Brian Vincke was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. De Matoekoes were furious when Claus Clijsters was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Diedrik Reiniers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brend Clijsters, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. De Matoekoes's Wart Keldermans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save De Matoekoes from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute, Dean Baeten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wart Keldermans was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Jilian Vrinss short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Wart Keldermans to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bobby De Roeck during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th minute, Bobby De Roeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jannick Valckeneers to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Rani Boys's Brian Vincke sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wart Keldermans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Brian Vincke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wart Keldermans having to interfere. Wart Keldermans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remy Schoenmaekers went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Rani Boys getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Dante Kindermans hit a great ball. Rani Boys's Diedrik Reiniers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brend Clijsters in the 68th minute of play. Elo Orihuela lost his temper 69 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Rani Boys:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of De Matoekoes:s goal. In the 77th match minute, Rani Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenney Reiniers to maneuver through the defense. Kenney Reiniers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Wart Keldermans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diedrik Reiniers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jannick Valckeneers in the 88th minute of the match. Bobby De Roeck hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Rani Boys's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
