Spectators: 7979 (Terracing: 5985, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 159) Hamdi Abdul Qadir started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Antonio Van Geertruyen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamdi Abdul Qadir, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Armand Cesters hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Antonio Van Geertruyen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yanick De Winter in the 7th minute of the match. Antonio Van Geertruyen came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Brugge's Yanick De Winter. But to his dismay, Yanick De Winter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Boechout's goal looked a bit too open when Yanick De Winter came free, but Antonio Van Geertruyen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Van Geertruyen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yanick De Winter went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Antonio Van Geertruyen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hamdi Abdul Qadir's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Hamdi Abdul Qadir notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Boechout's Antonio Van Geertruyen. Antonio Van Geertruyen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 31 minutes of play, Club Brugge's Hamdi Abdul Qadir made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonio Van Geertruyen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Boechout's zone, Thommy Toeback stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Van Geertruyen came out of the goal and Thommy Toeback tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Van Geertruyen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yanick De Winter went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Hamdi Abdul Qadir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armand Cesters hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half Club Brugge were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jef Rouvoet to make the kick off. When Yanick De Winter came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Club Brugge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yanick De Winter couldn't finish the play. Adam van haeve kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Carel de Pelsmakere could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Antonio Van Geertruyen made a huge save. In the 58th minute, Bjorn Gyselinx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Brugge's goalkeeper Arne Stuycken, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Club Brugge's Thommy Toeback sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonio Van Geertruyen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hamdi Abdul Qadir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamdi Abdul Qadir could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Antonio Van Geertruyen made a huge save. Hamdi Abdul Qadir received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Antonio Van Geertruyen came out and tried to block the shot, but Hamdi Abdul Qadir slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the game, Club Brugge's Hamdi Abdul Qadir nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antonio Van Geertruyen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. 80 minutes into the game, Yanick De Winter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antonio Van Geertruyen. Yanick De Winter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. With a little luck, Boechout's Antonio Van Geertruyen got control of the ball when Hamdi Abdul Qadir tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th play minute Hamdi Abdul Qadir came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Antonio Van Geertruyen. 0-10. Hamdi Abdul Qadir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Van Geertruyen having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, Club Brugge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Goffrey Bastin to maneuver through the defense. Richey Neesens kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Thommy Toeback received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Antonio Van Geertruyen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Brugge played a much better game than Boechout and deserved their victory. The Boechout players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
