The audience thought a goal was coming when Goffrey Bastin got free with Octaaf De Ridder in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the game, Hamdi Abdul Qadir lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Octaaf De Ridder. In the 25th minute, Club Brugge's Goffrey Bastin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Yanick De Winter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octaaf De Ridder having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Yanick De Winter reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Octaaf De Ridder. The goal made the score 5-0. In the 34th minute, Club Brugge's Hamdi Abdul Qadir dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-0. The supporters of FC Baki Baki booed when Club Brugge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamdi Abdul Qadir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamdi Abdul Qadir kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Octaaf De Ridder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 55 minutes into the match, Thommy Toeback notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of FC Baki Baki's Octaaf De Ridder. Octaaf De Ridder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Octaaf De Ridder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hamdi Abdul Qadir's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 10-0 when Hamdi Abdul Qadir sped through FC Baki Baki's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Octaaf De Ridder. Octaaf De Ridder didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Club Brugge's Hamdi Abdul Qadir shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 11-0 in the ordered_time% minute. FC Baki Baki's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yanick De Winter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 15-0. In the 94th minute, Hamdi Abdul Qadir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Brugge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 16-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Brugge fully deserved thier win.
