Anthoon Vandamme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bryan Roekeloos having to make a save. Mats Kempeneers's late challenge caught a FC Kuurne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mats Kempeneers helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Helchteren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Kempeneers to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute of the match Jaspar Van Laeck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bryan Roekeloos skillfully saved the ball. 1-1 became the score in the 20th minute when Izak de Reyck elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Anthoon Vandamme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bryan Roekeloos having to make a save. 32 minutes into the game, Izak de Reyck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Claude Degraef was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 35 played minutes Helchteren got a freekick which was hit by Thomas-Jan Maerschalks. Anthoon Vandammes short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Bryan Roekeloos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Helchteren's Bryan Roekeloos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Helchteren from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Helchteren getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Mats Kempeneers hit a great ball. In the 44th match minute, Helchteren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wart Kuppens to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anthoon Vandamme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Izak de Reyck in the 53rd minute of play forced FC Kuurne's goalkeeper Claude Degraef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Mats Kempeneers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Degraef saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Guust Van Linthoud could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Claude Degraef however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Izak de Reyck in the 59th minute of play forced FC Kuurne's goalkeeper Claude Degraef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes of play, FC Kuurne's Anthoon Vandamme made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bryan Roekeloos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Anthoon Vandamme managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Kuurne's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthoon Vandamme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryan Roekeloos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 67 minutes into the game, Anthoon Vandamme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Bryan Roekeloos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th match minute, Helchteren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guust Van Linthoud to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute Izak de Reyck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Degraef saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Kuurne's Anthoon Vandamme got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 81 minutes, Lukas Rockeloos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Kuurne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lukas Rockeloos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claude Degraef showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Izak de Reyck, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Izak de Reyck scored 3-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claude Degraef, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
