Octaaf De Ridder came out of the goal and Corneel Aelemans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The De Matoekoes fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when De Matoekoes's Corneel Aelemans looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 11th minute Corneel Aelemans suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frits Nilis during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. De Matoekoes made a substitution. Andrez Klopterop replaced Corneel Aelemans. 11 minutes into the game, one of FC Baki Baki:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for De Matoekoes. Tibo Sterks stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Octaaf De Ridder. 0-2. Octaaf De Ridder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jannick Valckeneers in the 18th minute of the match. Frank Vandenberge kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Brend Clijsters cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Octaaf De Ridder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Brend Clijsters succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Octaaf De Ridder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrez Klopterop in the 31st minute of play. Waut Van Elsen hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Octaaf De Ridder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrez Klopterop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Andrez Klopterop ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octaaf De Ridder was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. In the 42nd minute Andrez Klopterop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octaaf De Ridder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waut Van Elsen hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Frank Vandenberge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Octaaf De Ridder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The FC Baki Baki players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. De Matoekoes were winning 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrez Klopterop stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Waut Van Elsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Baki Baki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waut Van Elsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrez Klopterops short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Octaaf De Ridder to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 58th minute of the match, Joe De Beck sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Octaaf De Ridder showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. When De Matoekoes's Andrez Klopterop in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Brian Van Lier came free in the 86th minute and tried to tip the ball over Wart Keldermans, but to the joy of De Matoekoes's supporters the ball went over. In the 89th minute of the match, Andrez Klopterop got a very nice opportunity to score, but Octaaf De Ridder was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 92 minutes into the match, FC Baki Baki's goalkeeper Octaaf De Ridder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrez Klopterop. In the 96th minute Andrez Klopterop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octaaf De Ridder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ritchie Van Herendael hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.
