An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Sellekaers in the 4th minute of play forced Club Brugge's goalkeeper Arne Stuycken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes of play, Club Brugge's Hamdi Abdul Qadir made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wayne De Wilde was left in no man's land by his defense there! George Baeten hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Club Brugge's goal looked a bit too open when Ignace Seveneijns came free, but Arne Stuycken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Schroons's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wayne De Wilde firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 38th minute, Ignace Seveneijns left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Oosthoven fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 55th minute, Ignace Seveneijns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The KFC Oosthoven fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thommy Toeback in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wayne De Wilde saved KFC Oosthoven from getting behind. After 65 played minutes KFC Oosthoven got a freekick which was hit by Gill Franckx. With a little luck, Club Brugge's Arne Stuycken got control of the ball when Ignace Seveneijns tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arne Stuycken was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Josef Sellekaers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Josef Sellekaers really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Arne Stuycken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Sellekaers in the 75th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, KFC Oosthoven's Josef Sellekaers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arne Stuycken narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Josef Sellekaers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes KFC Oosthoven got a freekick which was hit by Wayne Gielis. 85 minutes into the match, Club Brugge's Thommy Toeback broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Thommy Toeback sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Gill Franckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Club Brugge lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
