Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jef Rouvoet got the match started through his kick off. Anthoon Vandamme in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Antonio Van Geertruyen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 7 minutes into the game, Anthoon Vandamme recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antonio Van Geertruyen. Anthoon Vandamme showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Lukas Rockeloos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Claude Degraef made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armand Cesters in the 15th minute of play. If Richey Neesens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Richey Neesens notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Kuurne's Claude Degraef. Claude Degraef was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the game, Tibau Standaers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Kuurne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boechout the free kick. In the 21st minute, one of FC Kuurne:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Kuurne. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for Boechout. Wart Van Balen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Claude Degraef. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richey Neesens in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Kuurne's goalkeeper Claude Degraef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, FC Kuurne's goal looked a bit too open when Richey Neesens came free, but Claude Degraef reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richey Neesens in the 36th minute of play forced FC Kuurne's goalkeeper Claude Degraef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Richey Neesens came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Boechout fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richey Neesens couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute, Jef Rouvoet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boechout fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 46 minutes into the match, Jef Rouvoet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claude Degraef. FC Kuurne's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jef Rouvoet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Anthoon Vandamme made the kick off in the second half. Richey Neesens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Claude Degraef made a huge save. A hard shot 55 in the game by Richey Neesens from a close distance when the talented Claude Degraef managed to make a qualified save. FC Kuurne's players were relieved. After 58 played minutes Boechout got a freekick which was hit by Richey Neesens. In the 59th minute, Anthoon Vandamme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute Jef Rouvoet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Degraef saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Armand Cesters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC Kuurne's Geoffrey Depauw got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 65 played minutes, Boechout's Patrick Boumans shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Claude Degraef came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Boechout reached it. Anthoon Vandamme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Antonio Van Geertruyen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pieter De Raeijmaeker hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Richey Neesens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claude Degraef made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richey Neesens in the 75th minute. A hard shot 80 in the game by Richey Neesens from a close distance when the talented Claude Degraef managed to make a qualified save. FC Kuurne's players were relieved. Antonio Van Geertruyen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthoon Vandamme in the 84th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Armand Cesters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claude Degraef showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armand Cesters in the 97th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Boechout walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
