In the 16th minute, Josef Sellekaers fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bryan Roekeloos, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to KFC Oosthoven getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Ignace Seveneijns hit a great ball. Wayne De Wilde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guust Van Linthoud in the 21st minute of play. When Josef Sellekaers came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the KFC Oosthoven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josef Sellekaers couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the match, Helchteren's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Sellekaers came free, but Bryan Roekeloos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, KFC Oosthoven's Josef Sellekaers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a little luck, Helchteren's Bryan Roekeloos got control of the ball when Ignace Seveneijns tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benedict Van Castel kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Wayne Gielis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ignace Seveneijns scored 2-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bryan Roekeloos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josef Sellekaers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bryan Roekeloos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Sellekaers in the 51st minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Ignace Seveneijns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Oosthoven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ignace Seveneijns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Ignace Seveneijns managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Oosthoven's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignace Seveneijns was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryan Roekeloos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bryan Roekeloos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignace Seveneijns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Benedict Van Castel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ignace Seveneijns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute, Ignace Seveneijns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Josef Sellekaers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KFC Oosthoven's Josef Sellekaers got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
