In the 14th match minute, FC Kuurne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoffrey Depauw to maneuver through the defense. Claude Degraef was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Horacio Ontañon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Horacio Ontañon really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. When Horacio Ontañon came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the KB Les Mauves FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Ontañon couldn't finish the play. FC Kuurne's Claude Degraef proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kuurne from getting a goal against them. Claude Degraef showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Ontañon, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Max Vander Plaetse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Claude Degraef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Sven Verhasselt made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, KB Les Mauves FC's Sven Verhasselt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claude Degraef made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Claude Degraef showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Ontañon in the 54th minute of the match. Pieter De Raeijmaeker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Roel Eggermont tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claude Degraef came out of the goal and Horacio Ontañon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Horacio Ontañon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KB Les Mauves FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. FC Kuurne's Claude Degraef played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Verhasselt in the 78th minute of play. If Pieter De Raeijmaeker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 minutes of play, KB Les Mauves FC's Horacio Ontañon made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claude Degraef was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Kuurne's Claude Degraef played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Verhasselt in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, FC Kuurne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoffrey Depauw to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Sven Verhasselt notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of FC Kuurne's Claude Degraef. Claude Degraef was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91stth minute of the game Sven Verhasselt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Kuurne's Claude Degraef was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sven Verhasselt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the FC Kuurne defense, Horacio Ontañon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claude Degraef. The FC Kuurne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claude Degraef should have stopped the shot. KB Les Mauves FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
