Spectators: 7600 (Terracing: 5750, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 100) Rani Boys's Diedrik Reiniers started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Dean Baeten put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Rani Boys's Dean Baeten got a free kick in the 5th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Sam Loremans notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Rani Boys's Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Schamp in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Diedrik Reiniers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, KB Les Mauves FC's Tran Van Menen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by KB Les Mauves FC's Sven Verhasselt. But to his dismay, Sven Verhasselt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Schamp in the 24th minute of play. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Schamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horacio Ontañon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester having to interfere. KB Les Mauves FC's Lars Schamp got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horacio Ontañon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester having to interfere. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Schamp in the 42nd minute of the match. If Elias Van Caenegem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Verhasselt, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 played minutes Rani Boys got a freekick which was hit by Matijs Deckkers. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester was a little too slow when Sam Loremans got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-5. Sven Verhasselt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Tran Van Menen sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Tran Van Menen this time. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Sven Verhasselt sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th minute, KB Les Mauves FC's Horacio Ontañon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. In the 72nd minute Horacio Ontañon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven Verhasselt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester made a huge save. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Ontañon in the 79th minute of the match. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Ontañon in the 82nd minute of play. Sven Verhasselt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rani Boys's Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Ontañon in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, KB Les Mauves FC's Lars Schamp ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester. Pieter-Maarten Demeulemeester yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. KB Les Mauves FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
