Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Gyselincx in the 11th minute of play forced De Pintenpakkers's goalkeeper Phillipe Rouvroys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of De Pintenpakkers booed when Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remco Rouvroye didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, De Pintenpakkers's Wesly Sulems sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Smedts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Natan Coekx got a free kick in the 18th minute. Wesly Sulems recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cedric Pacolet came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the De Pintenpakkers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cedric Pacolet couldn't finish the play. David Smedts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesly Sulems in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, De Pintenpakkers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoud Van Landschoot to maneuver through the defense. Wesly Sulems struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. David Smedts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Pintenpakkers. De Pintenpakkers's Phillipe Rouvroys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bobby Gyselincx in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Wesly Sulems got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Smedts made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Wesly Sulems sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wesly Sulems stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cedric Pacolet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. David Smedts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucien Huijghens kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. When Cedric Pacolet fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Pintenpakkers's protests and gave Cedric Pacolet a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Cedric Pacolet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Wesly Sulems had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remco Rouvroye during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remco Rouvroye to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesly Sulems in the 70th minute of play forced Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's goalkeeper David Smedts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wesly Sulems fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Smedts having to interfere. After some careless play in the Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin defense, Cedric Pacolet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Smedts. The Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Smedts should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Gyselincx in the 79th minute of play forced De Pintenpakkers's goalkeeper Phillipe Rouvroys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Smedts came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by De Pintenpakkers's Cedric Pacolet. But to his dismay, Cedric Pacolet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 3-0 became the score in the 86th minute when Wesly Sulems elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 90 minutes of play, De Pintenpakkers's Wesly Sulems made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Smedts was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's zone, Wesly Sulems stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Smedts came out of the goal and Wesly Sulems tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. De Pintenpakkers had played much better football throughout.
