Daniel Reijniers might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathieu-Maxim Neys. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Reijniers ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to North Side getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Benjamin Van Cauwenbergh hit a great ball. In the 25th minute Robben Kints shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathieu-Maxim Neys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Kirk Powderham managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robben Kints stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Van Cauwenbergh's late challenge caught a Brakkies New Bastards's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Van Cauwenbergh helped the player get up and apologised. After 74 played minutes North Side got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Van Cauwenbergh. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brakkies New Bastards would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
