In the 37th minute Max Lijsens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bavo Van Eeckhout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Vanooteghem to make the kick off. When Max Lijsens came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the real dixmuda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Max Lijsens couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Vanooteghem in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andre Iwens saved real dixmuda from getting behind. A collision led to real dixmuda getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Willem-Alexander Candries hit a great ball. Andre Iwens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Vanooteghem's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Garry Clijsters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, real dixmuda's Tony Van Hole got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Dominick Weijnandts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, real dixmuda's goal looked a bit too open when Ernst Matthijs came free, but Andre Iwens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 minutes, Emanuel Vanooteghem made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. real dixmuda's Andre Iwens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dominick Weijnandts lost his temper 76 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Sinsin getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Dominick Weijnandts hit a great ball. Berten Sommers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bavo Van Eeckhout read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Raf Gyselinck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. real dixmuda's Max Lijsens got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernard Pacolet kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Sinsin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sinsin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
