Spectators: 8427 (Terracing: 6321, Seating: 1938, VIP seats: 168) Malempre AFC's Joseph De Vreese started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Vanooteghem in the 13th minute of play forced Malempre AFC's goalkeeper Gaetan Huijbreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes, Angelo Depelsmaker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malempre AFC and the Sinsin players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Malempre AFC's Angelo Depelsmaker got a free kick in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Malempre AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Vanooteghem came free, but Gaetan Huijbreghts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaetan Huijbreghts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Vanooteghem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Vanooteghem's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaetan Huijbreghts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 53 minutes, Emanuel Vanooteghem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sinsin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Vanooteghem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Vanooteghem got free with Gaetan Huijbreghts in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emanuel Vanooteghem's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Gaetan Huijbreghts skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 58 minutes into the game, Emanuel Vanooteghem lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Gaetan Huijbreghts. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Vanooteghem got free with Gaetan Huijbreghts in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sinsin's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dominick Weijnandts in the 70th minute. The corner ended in Dominick Weijnandts almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Malempre AFC's Gaetan Huijbreghts did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Vanooteghem in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaetan Huijbreghts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emanuel Vanooteghem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute Emanuel Vanooteghem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaetan Huijbreghts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Malempre AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Gaetan Huijbreghts had in the 90thth minute some difficulties stopping Dominick Weijnandts's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Malempre AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Joseph De Vreese hit a great ball. Robbin Imbrechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bavo Van Eeckhout having to interfere. Sinsin's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
