Ball Packert was a little too slow when Binjamin Van Landschoot got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 1-0. 46 minutes into the match, Jérémy Doku had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevin Dawson. Nieuwpoort Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jérémy Doku was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orville Darling was the one to do the kick off. Kevin Dawson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mattheo Smeulders in the 56th minute. Ball Packert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Binjamin Van Landschoot in the 57th minute of play. Kevin Dawson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
