In the 11th minute Binjamin Van Landschoot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Üzeyir Tuğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Üzeyir Tuğlu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zelipe Sauca's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Kevin Dawson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul-Louis Van Craesbeeck in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute RSC Sellewie were awarded a corner. Evert De Mees went to the cornerflag to take it. 15 minutes into the game, Freddy Van Kestbeek lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Kevin Dawson. Üzeyir Tuğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Steckens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Orville Darling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Üzeyir Tuğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Nieuwpoort Club's goalkeeper Kevin Dawson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul-Louis Van Craesbeeck. Despite this Kevin Dawson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 38 minutes into the match, Nieuwpoort Club's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Van Kestbeek came free, but Kevin Dawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Dawson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paul-Louis Van Craesbeeck went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 46 minutes, Johny Dumont mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nieuwpoort Club and the RSC Sellewie players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Nieuwpoort Club getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Johny Dumont hit a great ball.

When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Hector Steckens took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Üzeyir Tuğlu to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Nieuwpoort Club defense, Paul-Louis Van Craesbeeck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kevin Dawson. The Nieuwpoort Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevin Dawson should have stopped the shot. Üzeyir Tuğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Steckens, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Binjamin Van Landschoot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Üzeyir Tuğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Üzeyir Tuğlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orville Darling in the 66th minute. The corner ended in Alphonse Roockeloos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but RSC Sellewie's Üzeyir Tuğlu did a great save. Kevin Dawson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Van Kestbeek, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orville Darling in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Üzeyir Tuğlu saved RSC Sellewie from getting behind. After 74 played minutes Nieuwpoort Club got a freekick which was hit by Charlie de Nooter. Kevin Dawson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul-Louis Van Craesbeeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Jullian Bruynincx hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that RSC Sellewie were the better team. RSC Sellewie's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
