Hudson Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jérémy Doku in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Mergea in the 15th minute of play forced Ulan Bator Football Club's goalkeeper Ball Packert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ball Packert made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Brent-Jan Van de cauter sent off a good shot on target. Jérémy Doku sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jérémy Doku made a kick off. In the 56th minute, one of GentFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GentFC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jérémy Doku got free with Hudson Costa in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute of the match, Mattheo Smeulders got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hudson Costa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jérémy Doku in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hudson Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hudson Costa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jan-Pieter Van Cauwenbergh. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kieth Hacke in the 80th minute of play forced GentFC's goalkeeper Hudson Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jérémy Doku's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Hudson Costa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
