In the 11th play minute Jeroen Maenhout came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jorg Arnoets. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeroen Maenhout got free with Jorg Arnoets in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jeroen Maenhout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorg Arnoets made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferdinand Fabry in the 21st minute. The corner led Avelgem ad. Schelde's Tim-Jan Rosbach to fire away a dangerous shot which Jorg Arnoets despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ferdinand Fabry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, R.C.A's Jorg Arnoets got control of the ball when Ferdinand Fabry tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jorg Arnoets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Fabry, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Geert Van den Plas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. R.C.A's Jorg Arnoets proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save R.C.A from getting a goal against them. Niek Molhoek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiel Spoelberghe in the 36th minute of the match. With a little luck, R.C.A's Jorg Arnoets got control of the ball when Ferdinand Fabry tried to sneak it across the goal line. R.C.A's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Ferdinand Fabry scored to the left of an out of position Jorg Arnoets, making the score, 3-0. Jorg Arnoets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Fabry in the 48th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daunte Rosinos made a kick off. Jorg Arnoets stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferdinand Fabry's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Jorg Arnoets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeroen Maenhout, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Daunte Rosinos managed to get in a good position for a shot. R.C.A's supporters rose to their feet, but Daunte Rosinos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niek Molhoek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute Jeroen Maenhout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorg Arnoets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Benedict Peeters cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Jorg Arnoets was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Avelgem ad. Schelde's Benedict Peeters got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute Emiel Spoelberghe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niek Molhoek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. R.C.A were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Avelgem ad. Schelde's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Geert Van den Plas took the corner. The supporters of Avelgem ad. Schelde booed when R.C.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunter Styles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorg Arnoets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Fabry in the 76th minute of play. R.C.A's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
