Spectators: 8408 (Terracing: 6306, Seating: 1934, VIP seats: 168) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cedrik Goossens kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute, Cedrik Goossens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camiel Coryn was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 9thth minute of the game Cedrik Goossens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VC Winksele's Camiel Coryn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 11th minute Cedrik Goossens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camiel Coryn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes VC Winksele's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kent Coppens who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Geetsvondel²'s corner Henk Wouters fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Camiel Coryn quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henk Wouters in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camiel Coryn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Camiel Coryn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henk Wouters went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Camiel Coryn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benne Marichal in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Jurgen Godts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Geetsvondel² getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Matthy Reniers hit a great ball. Herald Wouqier was a little too slow when Jean Slegers got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-2. When Brend Van der Goten fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Geetsvondel²'s protests and gave Brend Van der Goten a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, one of Geetsvondel²:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Geetsvondel². 33 minutes into the match, VC Winksele's goal looked a bit too open when Benne Marichal came free, but Camiel Coryn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cedrik Goossens in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camiel Coryn saved VC Winksele from getting behind. Christiaan Van de Plas kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Camiel Coryn came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Geetsvondel²'s Matthy Reniers. But to his dismay, Matthy Reniers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Henk Wouters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camiel Coryn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Camiel Coryn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henk Wouters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Wouters in the 47th minute of play forced VC Winksele's goalkeeper Camiel Coryn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Geetsvondel²'s Cedrik Goossens in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VC Winksele's goalie prevented a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean Slegers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Cedrik Goossens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of VC Winksele booed when Geetsvondel² was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benne Marichal didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 58 minutes on the clock, Christiaan Van de Plas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, VC Winksele's Christiaan Van de Plas got a free kick in the 59th minute. Camiel Coryn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Coppens, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Cedrik Goossens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cedrik Goossens did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-5 to the left of a surprised Camiel Coryn 66 minutes into the match. VC Winksele's Barnaba Dresik was substituted for Thommy Van Hoeij. After 71 played minutes Geetsvondel² got a freekick which was hit by Cedrik Goossens. After 74 minutes, Romain Pluijssens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VC Winksele and the Geetsvondel² players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Romain Pluijssens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute Cedrik Goossens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camiel Coryn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VC Winksele's Camiel Coryn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cedrik Goossens in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Robbie Uytebroeck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VC Winksele's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robbie Uytebroeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 2-8 when Cedrik Goossens sped through VC Winksele's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Camiel Coryn. Geetsvondel²'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
