The audience thought a goal was coming when Tibo Loozen got free with Camiel Coryn in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 29 played minutes La Selección got a freekick which was hit by Tibo Loozen. After 41 minutes, Bertan Huijbregs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Selección and the VC Winksele players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, VC Winksele's Camiel Coryn got control of the ball when Tibo Loozen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jean Slegers was the one to do the kick off. Nico Daniels kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Jean Slegers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Simon Van Adorp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean Slegers in the 57th minute. In the 60th match minute, VC Winksele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romain Pluijssens to maneuver through the defense. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camiel Coryn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tibo Loozen in the 65th minute of the match. Jan-Simon Van Adorp made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Jean Slegers sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dirk Van Cauwenbergh during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. VC Winksele's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Slegers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Simon Van Adorp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Robbie Uytebroeck got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Jean Slegers managed to get in a good position for a shot. VC Winksele's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Slegers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
