The supporters of Sapitos booed when Geetsvondel² was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristen Van Den Eijnde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Klaus Kindts shot a long shot in the 9th minute and a light blocked Dominic Huyghens hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-1. Robbrecht Colebinders's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kent Gressens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. The Geetsvondel² fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dominic Huyghens should have stopped the shot. Robbrecht Colebinders blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kent Gressens having to make a save. In the 20th minute Robbrecht Colebinders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Gressens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sapitos's Kent Gressens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Sapitos from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Sapitos defense, Camilo Sovera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kent Gressens. The Sapitos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kent Gressens should have stopped the shot. Geetsvondel²'s Dominic Huyghens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennert Hombroeckx in the 33rd minute of play. After 36 played minutes Sapitos got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Sasoin. In the 43rd minute Lennert Hombroeckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominic Huyghens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Robbrecht Colebinders ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kent Gressens was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2.

When Matty Vandenbosch came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Geetsvondel² fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matty Vandenbosch couldn't finish the play. Kent Gressens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Oyen in the 65th minute of the match. In the 71st minute of the match, Reinard Vervaeck got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dominic Huyghens was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 75 minutes into the match, Matias Oyen notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of Sapitos's Kent Gressens. Kent Gressens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Matias Oyen took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kent Gressens. Kent Gressens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-2. 92 minutes into the match, Sapitos's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Oyen came free, but Kent Gressens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Sören Goethals managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geetsvondel²'s supporters rose to their feet, but Sören Goethals was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kent Gressens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
