In the 34th minute, Jonatan Toli fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lionel Van Den Broek, passed just outside the right post. Casper Jans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sem De Kelper in the 37th minute of the match. Lionel Van Den Broek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Alan Creemers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Racing Matinette fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sem De Kelper made the kick off in the second half. Racing Matinette's Casper Jans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Matinette from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Racing Matinette defense, Pol Ramon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Jans. The Racing Matinette fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Jans should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the De Keikoppers players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Racing Matinette.
