Spectators: 9252 (Terracing: 6940, Seating: 2128, VIP seats: 184) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Johnathan Bowden started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Wesselbend was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Van Hemel to maneuver through the defense. If Johnathan Bowden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute Everardo Huguet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christof Deroek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Wesselbend's goal looked a bit too open when I Putu Okbo came free, but Jurgen Goris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Johnathan Bowden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurgen Goris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jurgen Goris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnathan Bowden in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnathan Bowden in the 23rd minute of play forced Wesselbend's goalkeeper Jurgen Goris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wesselbend's zone, Sebastian Quin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jurgen Goris came out of the goal and Sebastian Quin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wesselbend's Jurgen Goris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abid Bubalo in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Wesselbend's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Thidén came free, but Jurgen Goris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wesselbend's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abid Bubalo was slow to take the kick. During this time Selebi-Phikwe's players had a chance to rest. Selebi-Phikwe's Abid Bubalo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jurgen Goris in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnathan Bowden in the 40th minute of play forced Wesselbend's goalkeeper Jurgen Goris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnathan Bowden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Wesselbend's goal looked a bit too open when Johnathan Bowden came free, but Jurgen Goris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Everardo Huguet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Selebi-Phikwe booed when Wesselbend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Huguet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jurgen Goris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johnathan Bowden in the 53rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Johnathan Bowden kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jurgen Goris. That made the score 0-1 in the 54 minute of play. If Johnathan Bowden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wesselbend's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Johnathan Bowden scored to the left of an out of position Jurgen Goris, making the score, 0-2. Jurgen Goris made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Johnathan Bowden sent off a good shot on target. 66 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's goal looked a bit too open when Ken Anthonis came free, but Christof Deroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everardo Huguet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Johnathan Bowden kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jurgen Goris. That made the score 0-3 in the 71 minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Sebastian Quin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selebi-Phikwe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wesselbend the free kick. Sebastian Quin kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Selebi-Phikwe made a substitution. Rubinho de Castro replaced Marc Thidén. Johnathan Bowden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Jurgen Goris made a huge save. Johnathan Bowdens short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Jurgen Goris to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dan Van Hemel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Christof Deroek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Selebi-Phikwe getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rubinho de Castro hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Dan Van Hemel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wesselbend's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Van Hemel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christof Deroek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Selebi-Phikwe getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Erik Van Buyten hit a great ball. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Huguet in the 95th minute of play.
