When Selebi-Phikwe's Johnathan Bowden in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Selebi-Phikwe defense, Barnaba Pilsudski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christof Deroek. The Selebi-Phikwe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christof Deroek should have stopped the shot. Barnaba Pilsudski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christof Deroek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Axell Verduin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnathan Bowden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC Gullegem getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ion Giurgiu hit a great ball. FC Gullegem's Waut Du Molin got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Axell Verduin came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Selebi-Phikwe's Abid Bubalo. But to his dismay, Abid Bubalo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Selebi-Phikwe getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Victor Nelson hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 57th minute Barnaba Pilsudski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christof Deroek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Gullegem's goalkeeper Axell Verduin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Barnaba Pilsudski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christof Deroek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierre-Paul Callaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Selebi-Phikwe's Johnathan Bowden shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Axell Verduin but with some difficulty. In the 75th match minute, FC Gullegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Vanooteghem to maneuver through the defense. FC Gullegem's Manuel Sellekaerts was substituted for Joe Vandamme. Selebi-Phikwe made a substitution. Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers replaced Marc Thidén. Mats Vanooteghem hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnaba Pilsudski in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christof Deroek saved Selebi-Phikwe from getting behind. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Barnaba Pilsudski sped through Selebi-Phikwe's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christof Deroek. 83 minutes into the match, FC Gullegem's goalkeeper Axell Verduin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers. Axell Verduin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Lundqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Gullegem's Axell Verduin got control of the ball when Rafik Oliwa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erik Van Buyten hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. If Barnaba Pilsudski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
