If Matty Bormans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Shota Stopa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnaba Pilsudski in the 12th minute of play. Emanuel De Roest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shota Stopa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaba Pilsudski in the 15th minute of the match. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pezerik's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ion Giurgiu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Gullegem's players had a chance to rest. The corner led FC Gullegem's Joe Vandamme to fire away a dangerous shot which Shota Stopa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 18th minute, Ion Giurgiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axell Verduin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geoffry Lefevre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 37 minutes, Barnaba Pilsudski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Gullegem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barnaba Pilsudski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute Barnaba Pilsudski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shota Stopa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pezerik's Ivan Roeckeloes got a free kick in the 43rd minute. FC Gullegem made a substitution. Waut Du Molin replaced Emanuel De Roest. Ivan Roeckeloes kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. FC Gullegem's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ion Giurgiu in the 47th minute. The corner ended in Ion Giurgiu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pezerik's Shota Stopa did a great save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paul Geeraerts was the one to do the kick off. Waut Du Molin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shota Stopa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waut Du Molin in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute FC Gullegem were awarded a corner. Ion Giurgiu went to the cornerflag to take it. Joe Vandamme made a great header on FC Gullegem's corner, it was just that Pezerik's Shota Stopa managed to reach the ball for a save. Shota Stopa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pieter Teurfs in the 65th minute of play. FC Gullegem's Waut Du Molin got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Axell Verduin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Geeraerts in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Pezerik's Ivan Roeckeloes got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barnaba Pilsudski in the 75th minute of play forced Pezerik's goalkeeper Shota Stopa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pezerik's Shota Stopa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pieter Teurfs in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, FC Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Geoffry Lefevre came free, but Axell Verduin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axell Verduin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geoffry Lefevre in the 78th minute of play. Paul Geeraerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axell Verduin having to interfere. After some careless play in the Pezerik defense, Cederic De Vadder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shota Stopa. The Pezerik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shota Stopa should have stopped the shot. 89 minutes into the match, Cederic De Vadder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shota Stopa. Pezerik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cederic De Vadder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When the referee ended the match the FC Gullegem players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
