Johnathan Bowden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gillis Degens having to interfere. Gillis Degens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnathan Bowden in the 21st minute of play. I Putu Okbo charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed I Putu Okbo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 25 minutes into the match, KFC Welden's goal looked a bit too open when Johnathan Bowden came free, but Gillis Degens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnathan Bowden in the 27th minute of play forced KFC Welden's goalkeeper Gillis Degens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, KFC Welden's goal looked a bit too open when Johnathan Bowden came free, but Gillis Degens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sebastian Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gillis Degens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnathan Bowden in the 46th minute of play. Abid Bubalo hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wouter Gijselinckx to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Philippe Sempels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Kristen Spoelberghe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christof Deroek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Kristen Spoelberghe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Welden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristen Spoelberghe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kristen Spoelberghe during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kristen Spoelberghe hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 68 played minutes KFC Welden got a freekick which was hit by Raf De Weijngaert. Raf De Weijngaert kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute of the match, Johnathan Bowden got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gillis Degens was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri-Xavier Van den Dries in the 73rd minute of play. Christof Deroek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristen Spoelberghe's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 91st match minute, KFC Welden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philippe Sempels to maneuver through the defense. Selebi-Phikwe's Rubinho de Castro was substituted for Marc Thidén. In the 91st minute, Philippe Sempels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wouter Gijselinckx in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christof Deroek prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
