After a defensive mix-up in Twelve Ravens's zone, Pan Jian Yong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Vanden Broucke came out of the goal and Pan Jian Yong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Twelve Ravens's goalkeeper Roland Vanden Broucke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geert-Jan Coomans hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Steve De Wilde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinard Hennes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Lennart De Coster almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lions United's Steve De Wilde did a great save. Reinard Hennes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steve De Wilde having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinard Hennes in the 15th minute of play forced Lions United's goalkeeper Steve De Wilde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 minutes Lions United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lennart De Coster who took care of the corner kick. Leo Verstappen was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Lions United's Yetkin Müjdat managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Philip Blocks in the 23 minute of the game. In the 25thth minute of the game Pan Jian Yong who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Twelve Ravens's Roland Vanden Broucke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Twelve Ravens's Reinard Hennes got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pan Jian Yong struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Roland Vanden Broucke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lions United. Roland Vanden Broucke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pan Jian Yong in the 40th minute of play. When Reinard Hennes came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Twelve Ravens fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinard Hennes couldn't finish the play. Roberto-Carlos van Beek hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Niels Vandamme took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Roland Vanden Broucke to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Twelve Ravens's Yanick Goosens quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Peng De Guang, made in the 66th minute of the game. Twelve Ravens's Baba Laabidi got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Twelve Ravens's Vicent Duranseau was substituted for Reinard Hennes. In the 75th minute, Baba Laabidi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pan Jian Yong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicent Duranseau in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steve De Wilde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roland Vanden Broucke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Jian Yong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicent Duranseau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
