Spectators: 9225 (Terracing: 6920, Seating: 2122, VIP seats: 183) Twelve Ravens's Bjorn Van de Weijer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bjorn Van de Weijer in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jannes Van Leempoel saved Genk from getting behind. When Rain De Hond came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Genk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rain De Hond couldn't finish the play. Roland Vanden Broucke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rain De Hond in the 14th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Twelve Ravens's Jannes Van Leempoel threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bjorn Van de Weijer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jannes Van Leempoel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bjorn Van de Weijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Jannes Van Leempoel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bjorn Van de Weijer in the 28th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Suat Kaya in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roland Vanden Broucke saved Twelve Ravens from getting behind. Vicent Duranseau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jannes Van Leempoel made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, Pierre Van Hinnendael had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jannes Van Leempoel. Genk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pierre Van Hinnendael was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Suat Kaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Pierre Van Hinnendael kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jannes Van Leempoel. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. In the 48th minute of the match Twelve Ravens got a corner. Genk's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lennart De Coster ran over to the corner to take the kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Suat Kaya made a kick off. The supporters of Genk booed when Twelve Ravens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Blocks didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th of the match, Rain De Hond tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Roland Vanden Broucke got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 57th minute Yanick Goosens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Van Leempoel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Suat Kaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jannes Van Leempoel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Van Hinnendael in the 60th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Rain De Hond notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Twelve Ravens's Roland Vanden Broucke. Roland Vanden Broucke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rain De Hond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Vanden Broucke having to interfere. Twelve Ravens's Reinard Hennes was substituted for Bjorn Van de Weijer. Vergil Rupov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Roland Vanden Broucke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vergil Rupov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Vanden Broucke having to interfere.
