Dukanovici's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Sakib Duro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muharem Maksimović, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Bruno Džebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Sakib Duro however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Crvena Zvezda's Meho Urukalo got a free kick in the 18th minute. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Đuro Rebac took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Sakib Duro to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Meho Urukalo during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Crvena Zvezda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Meho Urukalo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Crvena Zvezda booed when Dukanovici was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Mujkanović didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Latif Lalić fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dukanovici's protests and gave Latif Lalić a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Crvena Zvezda booed when Dukanovici was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Latif Lalić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dukanovici's Edin Zovko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rustem Barbarić in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Muharem Maksimović was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Fahir Bijelić dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edin Zovko , 1-2. Rustem Barbarić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nasir Milutinović kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Edin Zovko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarik Marinović in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dukanovici's Tony Cubela got a free kick in the 78th minute. Edin Zovko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fahir Bijelić in the 83rd minute of the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Tarik Marinović managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crvena Zvezda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarik Marinović was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fahir Bijelić in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edin Zovko , who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Crvena Zvezda walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
