Spectators: 7967 (Terracing: 5977, Seating: 1832, VIP seats: 158) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ado Gagula got the match started through his kick off. When Mirsad Mujkanović came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the NK Željezničar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mirsad Mujkanović couldn't finish the play. Ado Gagula recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ado Gagula in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Velibor Temelj saved Sarajevo fc from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Lale Rahmanović got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 11 minutes into the match, Ado Gagula had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Velibor Temelj. Sarajevo fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ado Gagula was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Lale Rahmanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, Branko Smajlić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jefto Nakibović was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Lale Rahmanović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarajevo fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Lale Rahmanović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jefto Nakibović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 minutes, Ivo Fikrić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NK Željezničar and the Sarajevo fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to NK Željezničar getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ivo Fikrić hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Branko Smajlić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sarajevo fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 4-1 became the score in the 43rd minute when Branko Smajlić elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

Sarajevo fc's Velibor Temelj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ado Gagula in the 55th minute of play. Velibor Temelj made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Mirsad Mujkanović sent off a good shot on target. Mirsad Mujkanović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Velibor Temelj having to interfere. After having played for 72 minutes, Ado Gagula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NK Željezničar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ado Gagula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jefto Nakibović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lale Rahmanović, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The supporters of NK Željezničar booed when Sarajevo fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Redžep Matko didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Sarajevo fc's goalkeeper Velibor Temelj had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ado Gagula. Nuho Sejfić struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Velibor Temelj didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NK Željezničar. When the referee blew the final whistle, Sarajevo fc could leave the field as winners, despite NK Željezničar having more of the ball for most of the match.
