OFK Bratstvo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Gardijan the free kick. The supporters of FK Gardijan booed when OFK Bratstvo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rejhan Mimica didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, OFK Bratstvo's Talih Kutle got a free kick in the 13th minute. FK Gardijan's Dragutin Munizović couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for OFK Bratstvo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Đuro Mulalić during the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jahija Zolj got free with Kurt Lihovac in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bruno Edahović made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jahija Zolj in the 54th minute of play forced OFK Bratstvo's goalkeeper Kurt Lihovac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jahija Zolj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Lihovac having to interfere. After 59 minutes of play, FK Gardijan's Jahija Zolj made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kurt Lihovac was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bruno Edahović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Kurt Lihovac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jahija Zolj struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Kurt Lihovac didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Gardijan. If Bruno Edahović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Behmen Tića during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th match minute, FK Gardijan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Behmen Tića to maneuver through the defense. Talih Kutle charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
