Muradif Bešlija was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Redžep Matko during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sarajevo fc's Redžep Matko got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Branko Smajlić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Muradif Bešlija was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Lale Rahmanović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muradif Bešlija showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lale Rahmanović in the 29th minute of the match. Branko Smajlić took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Muradif Bešlija. Muradif Bešlija dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 33 minutes into the match, Sarajevo fc's goal looked a bit too open when Firuz Mirković came free, but Velibor Temelj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Lale Rahmanović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muradif Bešlija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Željeznicar's zone, Lale Rahmanović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Muradif Bešlija came out of the goal and Lale Rahmanović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Lale Rahmanović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Muradif Bešlija tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Firuz Mirković in the 66th minute of play forced Sarajevo fc's goalkeeper Velibor Temelj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamza Nesibović kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. When Željeznicar's Firuz Mirković in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sarajevo fc's goalie prevented a goal. 73 minutes into the game, Ziro Avdić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Velibor Temelj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firuz Mirković, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Velibor Temelj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ziro Avdić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hamza Nesibović was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. The supporters of Željeznicar booed when Sarajevo fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamza Nesibović didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Sarajevo fc supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sarajevo fc would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
