Norman Katzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Geling in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th minute Jan Geling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norman Katzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Björn Zöllner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vogelsberg's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Marc Domachowski scored to the left of an out of position Heiko Dorneth, making the score, 1-0. In the 15th minute, Björn Zöllner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Bushitl fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Markus Berger fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vogelsberg's protests and gave Markus Berger a yellow card for diving instead. Markus Berger hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oliver Neu during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Bushitl's Oliver Neu got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Marc Domachowski came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the FC Bushitl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marc Domachowski couldn't finish the play. After 28 minutes, Björn Zöllner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bushitl and the Vogelsberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Björn Zöllner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marc Domachowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Heiko Dorneth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Geenen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Katzer having to interfere. Norman Katzer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Geling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Domachowski in the 47th minute of play forced Vogelsberg's goalkeeper Heiko Dorneth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Geenen to make the kick off. Björn Zöllner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd minute Björn Zöllner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heiko Dorneth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jan Geling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Geenen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Katzer having to interfere. Björn Zöllner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Dorneth having to interfere. Marc Domachowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marc Domachowski in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heiko Dorneth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 70 in the game by Jan Geling from a close distance when the talented Norman Katzer managed to make a qualified save. FC Bushitl's players were relieved. A collision led to FC Bushitl getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Oliver Neu hit a great ball. Marco Geenen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Björn Zöllner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Dorneth having to interfere. Heiko Dorneth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Zöllner, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, FC Bushitl's goalkeeper Norman Katzer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Geling. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Jan Geling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vogelsberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Geling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norman Katzer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Geenen struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Norman Katzer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vogelsberg. When Oliver Neu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. Marco Geenen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Katzer having to interfere. A collision led to Vogelsberg getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Marco Geenen hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vogelsberg players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Bushitl.
