Chris Nürenberg hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Sven-Philipp Goc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Niederau's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Philipp Goc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christof Teutloff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andre-Yann Stripf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florian Schmid struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Bernhard Setzinger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Voitsberg. After 22 played minutes Niederau got a freekick which was hit by Heiko Frommer. 23 minutes into the match, Tim-Oliver Weiß sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Bernhard Setzinger threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Tim-Oliver Weiß this time. The supporters of Niederau booed when Voitsberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Metz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florian Schmid could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Bernhard Setzinger made a huge save. Florian Schmid recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niederau's Sven-Philipp Goc got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sven-Philipp Goc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Volkmar Henning kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Andre-Yann Stripf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernhard Setzinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute Volkmar Henning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christof Teutloff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niederau's Bernhard Setzinger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Niederau from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chris Nürenberg to make the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Niederau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Volkmar Henning to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Niederau's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Schmid came free, but Bernhard Setzinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christof Teutloff was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Chris Nürenberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Chris Nürenberg really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Florian Schmid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74thth minute of the game Chris Nürenberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Voitsberg's Christof Teutloff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Voitsberg's goalkeeper Christof Teutloff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Philipp Goc. Chris Nürenberg struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Christof Teutloff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niederau. Christof Teutloff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nürenberg in the 80th minute of the match. If Sven-Philipp Goc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre-Yann Stripf in the 95th minute of play forced Niederau's goalkeeper Bernhard Setzinger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
