With a little luck, FC XALKO's Sascha Wirth got control of the ball when Marc Heintz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Steffen Rampp's late challenge caught a Barnthal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niclas Hirtzel ran back to his position shaking his head. Sascha Wirth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niclas Hirtzel in the 96th minute of play. Jannik Munderloh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Barnthal had played much better football throughout.
