A wasted opportunity for Wacker Wiener Neustadt. In the 21st minute Peter Peintner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cedric Brückner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes, Willi Reinders mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wacker Wiener Neustadt and the Stifting players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wacker Wiener Neustadt's Willi Reinders got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Cedric Brückner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Peintner in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Peintner in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cedric Brückner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Lukas Wigenbusch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Köhncke kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Köhncke during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonathan Köhncke hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Wacker Wiener Neustadt's Sven-Christian Plappert couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stifting. A hard shot 42 in the game by Lukas Wigenbusch from a close distance when the talented Lukas Liebsch managed to make a qualified save. Stifting's players were relieved. 44 minutes into the game, Kim Krughöfer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lukas Liebsch. Kim Krughöfer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matthias Merker in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. Cedric Brückner was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Matthias Merker capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Matthias Merker really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Matthias Merker struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Cedric Brückner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stifting. Dennis Seelmann kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The long shot by Timo-Fabian Tarnat in the 63rd minute really tested Cedric Brückner's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Lukas Wigenbusch came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Wacker Wiener Neustadt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lukas Wigenbusch couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Stifting booed when Wacker Wiener Neustadt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kim Krughöfer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matthias Merker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cedric Brückner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Cedric Brückner successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wacker Wiener Neustadt's goalkeeper Cedric Brückner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matthias Merker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cedric Brückner having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Stifting's Jonathan Köhncke got a free kick in the 88th minute. Lukas Wigenbusch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd match minute, Stifting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Langhammer to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 95 minutes, Lukas Wigenbusch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wacker Wiener Neustadt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lukas Wigenbusch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Wacker Wiener Neustadt fully deserved thier win.
