Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Justus Pürk started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Benedikt Umlauf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arno Pürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens Brossart came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Hornesberg's Klaudius Brunmayr. But to his dismay, Klaudius Brunmayr quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 13th match minute, Hornesberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nick Koop to maneuver through the defense. Norman Dirks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hans Haas hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Justus Pürk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens Brossart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jonas Kopinski came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the FCWels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Kopinski couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FCWels booed when Hornesberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaudius Brunmayr didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jonas-Andreas Kink fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FCWels's protests and gave Jonas-Andreas Kink a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FCWels getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jonas-Andreas Kink hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes Hornesberg got a freekick which was hit by Hans Haas. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, FCWels's Jens Brossart got control of the ball when Achim Dollinger tried to sneak it across the goal line. With splendid footwork Justus Pürk arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-2 by the left pole in the game's 57th minute. After a rather tough play, FCWels's Severin Renz got a free kick in the 64th minute. Norman Dirks hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute Klaudius Brunmayr suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 75 played minutes FCWels got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Kopinski. Daniel Loepp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arno Pürk, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. FCWels's attentive Severin Renz managed to snatch the ball when Hans Haas made a throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game. Severin Renz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hornesberg's Daniel Loepp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arno Pürk in the 96th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
