After a rather tough play, FC Nikdan's Andre Holst got a free kick in the 7th minute. When FC Birnbaum's Marco Zimmermann in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 16th match minute, FC Nikdan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bastian Nuth to maneuver through the defense. Marco Zimmermann took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Phillip Werfel. Phillip Werfel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Bastian Nuth hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thorben Gerlach in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Phillip Werfel saved FC Nikdan from getting behind. A collision led to FC Nikdan getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Andre Holst hit a great ball. The supporters of FC Birnbaum booed when FC Nikdan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre Holst didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Zimmermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Phillip Werfel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Jesse in the 29th minute of play forced FC Birnbaum's goalkeeper Jan-Felix Kopinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Holle struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Jan-Felix Kopinski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Nikdan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Zimmermann in the 37th minute of play forced FC Nikdan's goalkeeper Phillip Werfel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philipp Hassenrück received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Phillip Werfel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Sebastian Holle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan-Felix Kopinski. FC Birnbaum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Holle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Jan-Felix Kopinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Jesse in the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Philipp Hassenrück to make the kick off. FC Birnbaum's Jan-Felix Kopinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Holle in the 57th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Roman Jesse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Felix Kopinski was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 58th match minute, FC Birnbaum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Mackenstein to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Holle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Zimmermann got free with Phillip Werfel in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FC Nikdan getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Sebastian Holle hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Marco Zimmermann managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Birnbaum's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Zimmermann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phillip Werfel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Philipp Hassenrück had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of FC Birnbaum booed when FC Nikdan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FC Nikdan's much stronger midfield.
