Spectators: 7465 (Terracing: 5915, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tibor Skoczylas started the match with the kick off. Marco Mihrmeister kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibor Skoczylas in the 10th minute of play forced Alpi76's goalkeeper Claus Nacke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Thorsten Abendroth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Schreiber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claus Nacke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Ehrhard in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Thorsten Abendroth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alpi76's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thorsten Abendroth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claus Nacke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tibor Skoczylas in the 27th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Tibor Skoczylas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claus Nacke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Löw took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claus Nacke. Claus Nacke dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thorsten Abendroth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thorsten Abendroth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Schreiber having to interfere. Frank Cartus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oliver Schreiber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Oliver Schreiber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thorsten Abendroth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claus Nacke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Löw in the 60th minute. Peter Ehrhard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Claus Nacke made a huge save. A collision led to Alpi76 getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Mirco Benken hit a great ball. After 64 played minutes Gosdorfau FC got a freekick which was hit by Tibor Skoczylas. When Mirco Benken fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alpi76's protests and gave Mirco Benken a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Alpi76 getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mirco Benken hit a great ball. Frank Cartus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Mihrmeister hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Alpi76's zone, Arnold Berg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claus Nacke came out of the goal and Arnold Berg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Schätzle's late challenge caught a Gosdorfau FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Schätzle helped the player get up and apologised. David Schätzle hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Arnold Berg from long distance, 75 minutes into the match, got Claus Nacke's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Alpi76 booed when Gosdorfau FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Ehrhard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oliver Schreiber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thorsten Abendroth in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Benjamin Riemer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claus Nacke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Mihrmeister was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 83 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alpi76 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! Gosdorfau FC's Oliver Schreiber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thorsten Abendroth in the 88th minute of play. Darius Knoke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oliver Schreiber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Thorsten Abendroth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Schreiber having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Sebastian Löw was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gosdorfau FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alpi76 the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gosdorfau FC's Sebastian Löw got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Alpi76's Thorsten Abendroth got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alpi76 were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
