The supporters of FC Herp Derp booed when Krottenthal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jannick Pötscher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justin Seiler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bastian Schramm might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Justin Seiler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bastian Schramm ran back to his position shaking his head. Tim Reiman kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. FC Herp Derp's Harald Harneit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Pöck in the 14th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Joachim Ruthus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dennis Orlowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Bastian Schramm came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the FC Herp Derp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bastian Schramm couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, FC Herp Derp's goalkeeper Harald Harneit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klaus Frommermann. 25 minutes into the match, Klaus Frommermann notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of FC Herp Derp's Harald Harneit. Harald Harneit was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joachim Ruthus during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Andi Dubberke was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven Pöck in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harald Harneit saved FC Herp Derp from getting behind. Klaus Frommermann struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Harald Harneit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Krottenthal. Klaus Frommermann might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harald Harneit. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Klaus Frommermann ran back to his position shaking his head.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven Pöck made a kick off. Sven Pöck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harald Harneit having to make a save. In the 59thth minute of the game Bastian Schramm who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Krottenthal's Justin Seiler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Harald Harneit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaus Frommermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Justin Seiler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dennis Orlowski in the 67th minute. In the 73rd minute, Dennis Orlowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Herp Derp fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Bastian Schramm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justin Seiler having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Pöck in the 78th minute of play forced FC Herp Derp's goalkeeper Harald Harneit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harald Harneit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaus Frommermann in the 79th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Klaus Frommermann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Krottenthal's supporters rose to their feet, but Klaus Frommermann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harald Harneit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven Pöck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
