In the 4th minute, Steffen Baumann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Sebastian Siekkötter in the 5th minute really tested Valentin Kern's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tim Grath's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michel Rühmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hartmut Mai got free with Valentin Kern in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Hartmut Mai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timo Riessle hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, Benjamin Engel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Michel Rühmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 32 minutes into the game, Sebastian Siekkötter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SV Mauerkirchen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Plomberg the free kick. Benjamin Engel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michel Rühmann having to make a save. Benjamin Engel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Rühmann having to interfere. If Hartmut Mai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Plomberg were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robin Zirwes to make the kick off. Hartmut Mai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Valentin Kern tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Hartmut Mai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Plomberg's Tim Grath sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michel Rühmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When David Metzler fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Plomberg's protests and gave David Metzler a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Sebastian Siekkötter sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Plomberg's Valentin Kern didn't even have to move. Hartmut Mai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute of the game, Steffen Baumann landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 66 played minutes SV Mauerkirchen got a freekick which was hit by Hans-Peter Aufhauser. Benjamin Engel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Michel Rühmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 81 minutes, Robin Zirwes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Mauerkirchen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Zirwes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Benjamin Engel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Hartmut Mai managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV Mauerkirchen's supporters rose to their feet, but Hartmut Mai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Kern breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Plomberg had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
