Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) SV Hall's Heiko Drengenburg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Heiko Drengenburg struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Carsten-Alexander Metzler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Hall. After a defensive mix-up in DINAMO 48's zone, Jan-Philipp Schlacher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carsten-Alexander Metzler came out of the goal and Jan-Philipp Schlacher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Hermann Kromp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastian Meckenstock had several of the SV Hall's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Andi Kramp as he didn't even see the shot coming. Andi Kramp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Meckenstock in the 23rd minute of the match. Carsten-Alexander Metzler came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by SV Hall's Heiko Drengenburg. But to his dismay, Heiko Drengenburg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Meckenstock's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andi Kramp was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. SV Hall's Andi Kramp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Meckenstock in the 33rd minute of play. When Heiko Drengenburg came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the SV Hall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heiko Drengenburg couldn't finish the play. Carsten-Alexander Metzler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heiko Drengenburg in the 38th minute of play. SV Hall's Jan-Philipp Schlacher got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hermann Kromp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastian Meckenstock might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andi Kramp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Meckenstock ran back to his position shaking his head. Andi Kramp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Meckenstock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute of the game, Robin Kirchrath landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 47 minutes, Denis Tillemann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Hall and the DINAMO 48 players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SV Hall getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Denis Tillemann hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermann Kromp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hermann Kromp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Jan-Philipp Schlacher fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Hall's protests and gave Jan-Philipp Schlacher a yellow card for diving instead. Benjamin Scheider made a great header on DINAMO 48's corner, it was just that SV Hall's Andi Kramp managed to reach the ball for a save. After 63 played minutes DINAMO 48 got a freekick which was hit by Hermann Kromp. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Vanik during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 70 minutes, Hermann Kromp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DINAMO 48's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermann Kromp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the game, Pascal Wüsthoff was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DINAMO 48's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Hall the free kick. The supporters of SV Hall booed when DINAMO 48 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Wüsthoff didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carsten-Alexander Metzler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heiko Drengenburg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 minutes of play SV Hall's Lucas Vanik was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, SV Hall's Lucas Vanik got a free kick in the 90th minute. Denis Tillemann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carsten-Alexander Metzler having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Meckenstock during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sebastian Meckenstock hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
