The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Wolfgang-Bernd Unterberger managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ulan Bator's supporters rose to their feet, but Wolfgang-Bernd Unterberger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carsten-Alexander Metzler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 10 played minutes FC Ulan Bator got a freekick which was hit by Uwe Zingler. In the 12th minute, Tino Röber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Brandl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Meckenstock in the 17th minute of play. Hans-Peter Baston struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Carsten-Alexander Metzler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Ulan Bator. Simon Brandl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Meckenstock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Ulan Bator's Simon Brandl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Meckenstock in the 23rd minute of play. Hans-Peter Baston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Carsten-Alexander Metzler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wolfgang-Bernd Unterberger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hans-Peter Baston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carsten-Alexander Metzler having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wolfgang-Bernd Unterberger was the one to do the kick off. Carsten-Alexander Metzler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans-Peter Baston in the 51st minute of play. Hermann Kromp took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simon Brandl. Simon Brandl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of FC Ulan Bator booed when DINAMO 48 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerrit Mützel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hans-Peter Baston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carsten-Alexander Metzler having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Wolfgang-Bernd Unterberger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DINAMO 48's Carsten-Alexander Metzler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastian Meckenstock struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Simon Brandl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DINAMO 48. In the 80th minute Wolfgang-Bernd Unterberger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carsten-Alexander Metzler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Brandl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Meckenstock in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. DINAMO 48 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
